Oedi

A good place, and a reason to linger.

Terms of use

The short version: Oedi hands you ideas for a nice little outing. You're the one who heads out the door, so use your own judgement. Here are the friendly ground rules.

What Oedi is

Oedi suggests places and small plans — a good café, a walkable landmark, the stops worth making on a drive. It's a helper for deciding, not a booking service, a travel agent, or a guarantee. It's free to use, offered as-is, with no account required.

Check before you go

Suggestions are pieced together from public map data and automated write-ups, so they can be out of date or plain wrong — a place may have moved, closed, changed its hours, or not suit you at all. Always confirm opening hours, prices, access, and suitability before relying on a plan, and use common sense about safety, weather, and your own limits. Walking and travel times are rough estimates.

Getting there is on you

If you open directions or set off on a route, you're responsible for travelling safely and following the road rules. Oedi doesn't check that a route is legal, open, or sensible for your mode of travel.

Play nicely

Please don't hammer the service with automated requests, try to break or overload it, scrape it wholesale, or use it for anything unlawful. We rate-limit to keep Oedi up for everyone, and may limit or block use that puts that at risk.

Other people's places and data

Place details, ratings, maps, and landmarks come from third parties (OpenStreetMap, Wikipedia, Google Places, OpenRouteService, CARTO, and others). Their content belongs to them and is subject to their own terms; Oedi doesn't own it or vouch for its accuracy.

No warranty, and the limit of our liability

Oedi is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, BenTek Industries isn't liable for any loss, injury, or disappointment arising from using Oedi or acting on its suggestions. Nothing here is meant to exclude rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Privacy

How we handle data is covered in the Privacy page — short version: nosy about places, not about you.
